Photography Call Sheet

As the album covers will be made separately it is vital for me to take professional pictures of the model for my album cover and back cover therefore I spent yesterdays and todays lesson organising a time to photograph the model and also doing a call sheet so she and I know exactly what will be happening during that session. The details of the shoot are listed above on the picture of the call sheet.

Editing session 6 & team meeting

In today's lesson we got the opinion of our second media teacher on our music video. Her feed back was that we adjust the lip syncing and have more jump cuts in the music video. We too this feedback on board and altered our music video to the feedback. We began to discuss how we would like our front cover to be and what type of look we'd want when editing our album cover. 

Editing session 5 & team meeting

We completed our music video today and got feed back from one of our media teachers. The only constructive feed back we had was to match up the lip syching better but over all she said she loved the music video. Our next move is to look at cd covers and organise a photoshoot to take pictures for our cover 

Editing session 4 & team meeting

In today's editing session we finished off filming until the end of the song and extended it by about 5 seconds to fully conclude the narrative story. Our focus for next lesson is to add to the start of the music video and make any minor changes to our music video 

Editing session 3 & team meeting

In today's lesson we continued editing and by the end of the lesson we had completed editing the second verse and chorus. During the lunch we edited the bridge and began editing the last chorus. We also had a team meeting in which decides that next lesson we will aim to finish editing and make a start on our album cover case studies.

In today's lesson we continued editing our music video, we managed to edit up until the end of the first chorus of the song and also managed to have a team meeting in which Aamna and I discussed that we need more footage for the music video. Now it has come down to discussing this with cengi and begin on it. Next lesson my personal aim is to finish editing until the end of the second chorus and potentially begin on the bridge of the song. 

Editing session 1 & team meeting

In today's lesson we imported all of our footage and began editing our music video. We also managed to have a team meeting about our next steps. After viewing the footage we had, we all came to agree that we needed to film a lot more so the team and I have concluded that I will put most of my focus on editing as it is my strength whilst Aamna and cengi film the rest of the clips. Also, during our first editing session we played around and experimented a lot with Final Cut Pro just to get used to it. The team and I have equally contributed ideas of how we want the final outcome to be and plan to work during lessons and after college to achieve this. 

Team meeting

As we have just filming left to do and Aamna couldn't make it to today's lesson, Cengi and I decided to have a team meeting. Before the lesson I met up with the main model/dancer who informed me that she couldn't dance as she has cause severe injury to her back. Cengi and I have decided that in order to carry on without music vidoe and avoid this problem, the rest of the filming is going to be acting based as we do not want the dancer/main model to cause further injury to herself.

Filming session 2

In our second session of filming, we began filming the chorus as this is the bit that the model lip synchs and we wanted to capture this first in the space we had book out. We also shot some of the dance and the red paint scene 

Talent release

We have now made our talent sign the talent release and made the college aware that the male model will be coming into college for filming purposes on Wednesday and Friday. Currently I'm working on my evaluation as filming for us begins next lesson. 

Filming session 1

Today we began filming the bridge of our song. We started off with this as this was the hardest scene to film be rewuired both male and female models. 

We filmed a total of 32 shots as we wanted to have a wide range of shot types and angles. 

Sia- Eye Of The Needle Bridge Practise

We managed to practise filming a short clip of our bridge as we wanted to get used to the camera and also have a go at bringing our ideas on the story board to life. This 13 second clip is based on a few of the shots in our story board for the bridge. This task gave us first hand experience filming and also gave us a clear indication as to how challenging it may be filming a music video.

Team meeting

In today's lesson we had a quick team meeting to decide what our next steps are. We got our location releases signed and now are ready to film. All that needs to be done is the main models need to sign the talent release forms. Next lesson we are looking towards creating a evaluation of the whole production plans so we utilise our time wisely.
