Team meeting

As we have just filming left to do and Aamna couldn't make it to today's lesson, Cengi and I decided to have a team meeting. Before the lesson I met up with the main model/dancer who informed me that she couldn't dance as she has cause severe injury to her back. Cengi and I have decided that in order to carry on without music vidoe and avoid this problem, the rest of the filming is going to be acting based as we do not want the dancer/main model to cause further injury to herself.

Filming session 2

In our second session of filming, we began filming the chorus as this is the bit that the model lip synchs and we wanted to capture this first in the space we had book out. We also shot some of the dance and the red paint scene 

Talent release

We have now made our talent sign the talent release and made the college aware that the male model will be coming into college for filming purposes on Wednesday and Friday. Currently I'm working on my evaluation as filming for us begins next lesson. 

Filming session 1

Today we began filming the bridge of our song. We started off with this as this was the hardest scene to film be rewuired both male and female models. 

We filmed a total of 32 shots as we wanted to have a wide range of shot types and angles. 

Sia- Eye Of The Needle Bridge Practise

We managed to practise filming a short clip of our bridge as we wanted to get used to the camera and also have a go at bringing our ideas on the story board to life. This 13 second clip is based on a few of the shots in our story board for the bridge. This task gave us first hand experience filming and also gave us a clear indication as to how challenging it may be filming a music video.

Team meeting

In today's lesson we had a quick team meeting to decide what our next steps are. We got our location releases signed and now are ready to film. All that needs to be done is the main models need to sign the talent release forms. Next lesson we are looking towards creating a evaluation of the whole production plans so we utilise our time wisely.

The type of location we wanted for our music video we found was not easy for us to get a hold of as all the locations we wanted to use are given for filming on commission basis. So in the team meeting we decided we will use our college theatre and Hollow ponds as two potential locations for our music video. We will still be able to create the same effect however props will be needed to get the desired look for our music video. 

Story Board update

As a group we had started on the story board however, when our teacher checked the story board the feed back we received was that our story board lacked in detailed so Aamna and I took upon the task to re start the planning of the story board and include more detail. The planning has been completed, all that is left to do now is to add pictures to show a visual of the type of shots we will be using and what our model will be doing throughout the music video.

In today's lesson we had a group meeting to organise roles for each person. We have completed our story board and need to add just drawing to show a visual of the shots. Our aim is to complete everything by next lesson so we can start filming.
